Juné Rogers Hegamin

Executive Director

Juné Rogers Hegamin, MPH, is Executive Director of Universally, Inc., where she leads efforts to strengthen civic capacity through education, engagement, and community connection. A seasoned leader with more than 15 years of experience, she has driven large-scale organizational transformation, workforce initiatives, and behavior change strategies across sectors.

At Amtrak, she served with the senior leadership team, where she launched the award-winning P.I.E.R. Program and led enterprise-wide performance management, expanding outreach and training activities by more than 300% nationwide. Her career also includes senior roles with the Maryland Highway Safety Office, the NFL Players Association, and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

Nationally recognized for merging scientific rigor with people-first strategies, Juné brings a proven record of building programs, securing results, and advancing community impact to Universally’s mission.

 

Aisha Williams

Chief of Strategy and Operations

Aisha Williams, JD, MBA, MPP, oversees all teams across finance, programs, business development, and operations. With more than 15 years of leadership experience spanning nonprofit, corporate, government, and philanthropic sectors, she has managed multimillion-dollar budgets, built national partnerships, and guided large cross-functional teams to deliver measurable impact.

Aisha is known for turning vision into strategy, aligning organizations for growth, and securing resources that expand opportunities for children, families, and communities. She has delivered results such as founding, scaling, and successfully selling a consulting firm serving the health, housing, and human services sectors, as well as developing new business lines and expanding market reach for large nonprofits. Aisha holds a JD from the University of Maryland, an MBA from Johns Hopkins University, and an MPP from Georgetown University.

Katy Oskoui

Senior Director of Development

Katrina (Katy) Oskoui is Senior Director of Development at Universally, Inc., where she leads strategy to build the philanthropic and institutional partnerships that sustain and grow the organization’s mission. A seasoned advancement professional with extensive experience in major gifts, donor stewardship, and campaign strategy, she has cultivated and secured five- to seven-figure contributions from individuals, foundations, and corporate partners in support of large-scale institutional initiatives.

Before joining Universally, Katy served in Advancement at Georgetown University and The Potomac School, where she directed major gifts programs, coordinated campaign planning, and managed advancement teams supporting capital campaigns. She has deep experience in donor research, grant writing, and volunteer engagement, and is recognized for her ability to align institutional priorities with donor interests to create lasting partnerships.

Katy holds a Bachelor of Science in International Affairs from Georgetown University, a Master of Library Science from the University of Maryland, and a Virginia Library Media PreK-12 teaching license. She brings to Universally a blend of analytical skill, relationship-driven leadership, and commitment to education and civic connection.

Gwendolyn (Gwen) Mak Burton

Senior Director of Programs

Gwendolyn (Gwen) Mak Burton is Senior Director of Programs at Universally, Inc., where she leads the design, implementation, and evaluation of educational and community-based initiatives that build civic capacity across generations. With deep expertise in instructional design, curriculum development, and experiential learning, she brings a strong record of creating innovative programs that strengthen literacy, creativity, and engagement in classrooms and communities.

Before joining Universally, Gwen served as Instructional Designer at Tales2Go, where she developed customized literacy equity curricula for more than 150 districts and 500 schools worldwide, advancing inclusive learning through audio-based education. She previously served as Interim Director and Curriculum Developer at Children’s Manor Montessori and held leadership roles at Fiore Montessori School, Montessori School of McLean, and Green Hedges School, where she led teams, expanded enrollment, and enhanced program quality and teacher development.

A trained educator and creative strategist, Gwen holds a Master of Science in Educational Psychology from George Mason University, a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Virginia, and teaching and web development certifications. She is recognized for her ability to merge academic rigor with creativity, producing learning experiences that inspire curiosity, empathy, and connection among students and educators alike.

 

Margaret Ward

Development Advisor

Margaret Ward serves as an Advisor and Development Consultant for Universally, Inc., where she provides strategic guidance on fundraising, donor engagement, and partnership development. A veteran nonprofit leader with more than two decades of experience, she brings deep expertise in advancement, grant acquisition, and community engagement. Throughout her career, Margaret has helped organizations design and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies, secure multi-year philanthropic investments, and strengthen their donor and community relationships. At Universally, she continues to support the organization’s growth and long-term sustainability through her advisory role, helping to expand its reach, resources, and impact.
